The Ophthalmic Knowledge Management Unit was established in 2011 following the agreement between the Deputy of Treatment in the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and the Ophthalmic Research Center.  It started its activities after the recruitment of research team members and their training on evidence-based medical concepts. This was achieved through having these individuals take part in workshops and reviewing the educational materials developed by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
Several clinical guidelines have been designed in this center since its establishment consisting of the following titles:
